I want The Old Gaga back!

A while ago I got this message in Youtube:

Dear Sasa, I just want to tell you something that happened with me as a Little Monster. I started to get detached to Lady Gaga (dont be interested anymore). I feel very very very sad about it and I don't know what is the solution :(

I answered him:

Someone would say that you would not be a true Little Monster, but I'm not going to say that, because a monster you are, if you say so. I guess you started to feel less interested about Gaga after She released Born This Way album, am I right? That has happen to quite many people. I myself like The Fame and the Fame Monster Eras the most in Gaga's Evolution. But those times are not coming back. You have the "I want the old Gaga back"-complex.

Fortunately there is a cure for it, but you have to do it yourself. There's multiple choises you can have to get to the solution of your problem.

1. You can keep listening old Gaga records, which are so numerous already (with all the remixes etc.) that you won't get bored in some time. But they maybe won't last forever for you.

2. You can listen both old and new Gaga records and get used to the new ones more and more and will start to like them (more). But this will take some time.

3. You can decide to like the new Gaga records and analyze what makes them different than the old ones, what you like in them and what you don't. Then you can think, that are those things so big that you couldn't still like the new records. Listening the whole BTW album helps more than listening just single songs.

4. You can have a (long) pause of listening Gaga. Then start listening Her again, and maybe you get interested again. Maybe listening some bad music for a change will help.

5. You can try to listen the many remixes of Gaga's new songs, official as well as non official remixes (search them in Youtube), and try if you find there something you like more. That can also help you to like the original songs as well.

6. You can make yourself understand the true meaning of Born This Way Era, what Gaga wants to tell with it, and why She has made it like it is. And why the old times are not coming back. When you understand that, you will love Her again.

 

The best solution is the sixth option, but it's also the hardest one. The first will be the easiest, but it probably won't last forever.

And how would you understand the true meaning of Born This Way Era? I will make a longer post of the subject in my blog, but shortly: BTW Era is art. Lady Gaga is a genius. You identify a genius thence She's invariably versatile. She has to move forward, can't be the same all the time. BTW album is a praise for all the misfits and bullied people. It's made for supporting all the different people who don't fit in society's tight (and unnecessary) norms. Lady Gaga supports the gay community, because they need support and She can give them that. She's against bullying of any kind. We are all people and all different but precious at the same time. That's a message which seem to be lost in these days. Because Lady Gaga is the World's most famous person today, and She is a caring person, She has taken a mission to protect humanity.

She couldn't have started it earlier, or the message wouldn't have so much importance. She had to make two albums of less serious themes before taking the risk of being rejected by Her fans because of the themes of Born This Way. Born This Way album is the most "Lady Gaga" you can get, wheather you like it or not. It's the truth. Gaga said herself that "The BTW Era will test my true fans", She said it to get the fans to listen it even by force, so they would certainly get the message.

Gaga feels the message and Her mission to be so important that She made Born This Way album and Era like it is now. It's designed more by Gaga than Her previous works. It's more Her in it. The musical style is also more Gaga than before, since Gaga has always been a rocker girl (too). She started with Red & Blue EP, which was pop-rock. She had a rock band. She fell in love with Lüc Carl, who is a rocker, and She wants to be a rocker too.

Disco style was created by Rod Fusari (with Gaga) in their creative collaboration and relationship before The Fame Era. But they didn't stick together and later Rob sued Gaga for copyright issues. After She made The Fame Monster, She got back together with Lüc Carl, who She describes as Her only true love. Gaga's style became more rock and heavy after that. Many songs are inpired by him, like Judas, Yoü and I and Heavy Metal Lover.
